Shortly after working with Salman’s arch-enemy John Abraham in New York, reports say that Katrina is now all set to work opposite his other nemesis, Shah Rukh Khan.

Katrina, who has been climbing the ladder of success most consistently ever since she came into the film industry, has been on good terms with SRK despite his fallout with Salman.

Kat first sent this signal to Sallu when she joined SRK on his Temptations tour in 2008, shortly after the infamous fight between the two Khans that happened on the occasion of her 24th birthday celebrations.

Recently, Katrina had expressed a desire to work with SRK, and now it seems Yash Raj has given her what she wants. The movie moghuls of Bollywood have reportedly signed on these two since they are currently the most successful actors in the industry and are yet to star opposite each other.

Yash Raj might also be hoping to repeat the curiosity value they created with New York and John and Katrina’s relationship that drew audiences in hordes to the theatres.

Nothing has been finalised yet but sources say that either Kabir Khan or Aditya Chopra will direct the film.

Katrina might be young, but she certainly has a mind of her own.

Aamir Khan donned the classic look of Guru Dutt and draws a lot of similarities by his dressing and hair style, while Katrina is looking an elegant reminiscence of Waheeda Rehman.
Recently, a magazine unveiled the first peek-a-boo of the film where Aamir-Katrina strike a pose similar to that of Guru Dutt – Waheeda Rehman, from the film Kaagaz Ke Phool. Though Kaagaz Ke Phool failed at the box office but it did left an indelible mark on the mind of audience.

Her latest film New York has won Katrina accolades not just for her beauty but this time also for her talent as an actress.

So ecstatic is Katrina about this new recognition that she has taken it upon herself to criticise actresses who show skin to attract an audience.

Katrina recently said in an interview that she doesn’t need to wear a short skirt or show her legs to get audiences to go for her film or to love her.

Speculations are that this was Katrina’s dig at fellow actress Kareena Kapoor whose skin-show in Kambakkht Ishq is reportedly the only thing that is now drawing audiences to the film that has received a unanimous thumbs-down from the public as well as from critics.

Katrina, who has so far won many points for her maturity and her diplomacy has managed to make her first enemy in Bollywood and it is none other than Kareena.

The row between producers and multiplex owners over revenue sharing began in February. As a result, producers and distributors decided not to push any new releases in multiplexes after April 4.

Now that the strike is over, Hindi movie buffs will have quite a few reasons to cheer since there will be an array of big budget Bollywood films on offer – from Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey and Yash Raj Films’ New York to Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambhakkht Ishq and Saif Ali Khan’s Love Aaj Kal.

The first film to hit multiplexes June 12 post the strike will be Vashu Bhagnani’s Kal Kissne Dekha that will see his son, Jackky Bhagnani, and model Vaishali Desai making their debut.

The next in line is director Kabir Khan’s New York, a romantic thriller based on international terrorism. It is a contemporary story of three friends – John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh – and how their lives are turned upside down in New York. The film, produced by Aditya Chopra will release June 26.

Not far behind is Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambakkht Ishq, a $20 million film co-produced by Sunil A. Lulla slated for July 10 release. The much-awaited caper will see Akshay Kumar playing a stuntman in Hollywood with Kareena Kapoor as his lady love. The highlight of the film is the presence of Hollywood stars Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards.

After an action-packed film like Kambakkht Ishq, audiences will get to see Saif Ali Khan’s debut as a producer with Love Aaj Kal, which is being helmed by Jab We Met director Imtiaz Ali. Saif has teamed up with Deepika Padukone in his home production which is set to release July 31. The film was originally slated to release in the first week of June.

Finally, a larger than life modern day adaptation of the evergreen Arabian Night’s tale Aladin starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Riteish Deshmukh will hit the screens August 14. Aladin is produced by Eros International and Boundscript and directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

Other films that were due to release in May and June but were pushed back due to the strike are Luck starring southern superstar Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan opposite Imraan Khan; Subhash Ghai’s Paying Guest; Bipasha Basu-starrer Pankh; director Satish Kaushik’s Tere Sang and Phirr, among others. The release dates of these have not been disclosed as yet.

At the same time, Katrina is trying to focus on her filmi career, which is going great.

The actress is working on promising projects, like Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani, De Dana Dan and Rajniti, so she’s trying to focus on them, instead of love and marriage.

The stars, who have been together since 2003 but haven’t tied the knot yet, seems not interested walking down together. They have 20 years age difference, but age doesn’t matter in love affairs.

Though, Katrina says she wants to focus on her career, sources say the different story. Salman, who is known for his girls and affairs, was currently linked with his London Dreams co-star Asin.

And these days, he’s linked with German Supermodel Claudia Ciesla. The relationship between both the stars has taken good turn, sources believe.
