This Friday, two big films- Kaminey and Life Partner were about to release. However, it will not be the case because of swine flu in Mumbai. As a precautionary measure the Maharashtra Government has decided to shut all cinema halls for three days. The decision has been taken in the wake of the rising number of swine flu deaths in the state.
A state government official said, “The government has ordered the closure of all schools, colleges and other educational institutions in the city from tomorrow till August 20. Similarly, malls, theatres and multiplexes shall be closed for three days from tomorrow as a precautionary measure.”
Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey is likely to be the most affected. The movie was expected to take a flying start across the country and was slated to open on Thursday evening itself.
It is believed that the producers of Abbas-Mustan’s Life Parter are planning to go ahead with the release of the film despite the announcement by the state government.
