Loading ...Regional Congress committee chief Kripashankar Singh hinted on Wednesday that the party would positively consider Shah Rukh Khan as a
candidate if the actor sought a ticket for the coming Lok Sabha polls from a constituency in Mumbai.
Speaking at a press meet, Singh pointed out that Shah Rukh had been invited by him to attend some functions in the recent past. He, however, did not get into the details.
According to party sources, party MP Govinda had expressed his unwillingness to continue. In that context, the party might consider someone like Shah Rukh as a likely nominee.
Replying to a query, Singh Muslim organisations had told him that they would not provide a burial ground for the nine slain terrorists. “We cannot keep guarding the bodies. They should be dumped in front of the Pakistani embassy in Delhi,” the Congress leader said.
Singh also provided details on how Mhada had given residential accommodation to family members of police officers and constables who lost their lives during the terror attacks.
