Director Madhur Bhandarkar is an angry man as his film “Fashion” gets an ‘A’ certificate from the censor boards. This is a big blow for the filmmaker who wanted the film to be seen by the youngsters as well.
Madhur Bhandarkar reacting to the ‘A’ certificate for the movie said, “I wanted youngsters to watch the movie, but its ok. Today’s generation knows and they are advanced. I wanted to show what is beind the fashion industry. I have nothing to say against the censor board if they have objections.
The censor board’s sudden decision to grant his film “Fashion” an adult certificate isolates it from a vast section of his prospective audience.
Madhur speaking on the censor board’s decision said, “I am surprised, but only there are fiteen days left for the movie to be released. My promos are already there.Theatres have been booked all across the world. So, for me it is very short time to act taking this issue.”
“Fashion” which stars Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut besides a bevy of other glam appearances by Bollywood kin had been stirring hype about bold scenes and the infamous wardrobe malfunction.
Madhur reacting to the bold scenes in the movie said, “Censor board wanted six cuts, but I didn’t want it. It is a research done on fashion industry. So, it is an ‘A’ certificate film without the cuts.”
Now that the film is all set to scorch the screens with all the bold and beautiful scenes intact, we are sure Madhur’s “Fashion” will definitely make a statement.
While Madhur sounds upset with the unwelcome ‘A’ certificate, his lead star Priyanka Chopra has some other resaion to be upset.
It seems to be a sort of bitter sweet moment for Bollywood starlet Priyanka Chopra. On one hand she regrets not being part of Farhan Akhtar’s “Voice From The Sky”.
Priyanka says, “No, I am not a part of Farhan Akhtar’s film.”
But she remains excited about Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Fashion”, and Priyanka did not miss her chance to promote the film on the Femina platform.
Priyanka on being part of the film said, “The film is about a girl who comes from Chandigarh to Mumbai to become a supermodel and how she makes it to the fashion industry.”
With “Fashion” releasing at the end of October, Priyanka is looking forward to the future and is excited about Karan Johar’s “Dostana”.
Priyanka on “Dostana” said, “It is a fun film as the title suggests. It is about three good freinds, and the changes in their lives. It is a film with twists.”
Well, we hope this sexy actress tastes success with “Fashion” and “Dostana” after flops like “Chamku” and “Drona”. We also think the damsel is better off playing the glam doll than trying out alternative roles.
