Loading ... Katrina Kaif and Bipasha Basu are in race yet again. No, we are not talking about a sequel of the film but the race of being brand ambassadors of popular jewellery brands.
Katrina was named as the brand ambassador of Gitanjali’s Nakshatra Diamond jewellery, taking over the mantle from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan just a few days back. Now Bipasha Basu will be following suit as she would be the new brand ambassador of Gili. The announcement will be made in a grand event today followed by a fashion show of Neeta Lulla.
It can be recalled that Katrina and Bipasha did not get along well while shooting for Race . The cold vibes between them go back to the days when they were shooting for Humko Deewana Kar Gaye . Not just them, even their boyfriends are in their own version of a cold war, against each other. Bipasha and Katrina were co-stars in Humko Deewana Kar Gaye , but things had not soured between John and Salman Khan then. Now the two grown-up boys do not even acknowledge each other in public.
We only wonder if this is a conscious decision on part of the jewellery brands to sign rival actresses as their ambassadresses and benefit from their off-screen enmity in their onscreen commercials.
