Zayed appears to have bid his cool dude image adieu. Gone are the days of partying late and taking on college-boy roles. In Suniel Shetty’s forthcoming Mission Istanbul, this new father plays a journalist dealing with commandos and terrorists. Speaking about his role, Zayed says, “As actors, we interact with journalists, read newspapers and watch the news on television, so we know what a journalist goes through to uncover a story.” Well, if he thinks that’s all that’s required, he may be in for a surprise. Anyhow, considering his boy-next-door image didn’t take him places, let’s hope the new avatar does the needful.
